Police complaint filed against Rahul Gandhi for inflammatory remarks on PM, Home Minister
New Delhi, May 21: The troubles of Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, may increase once again as a police complaint has been filed against him in Delhi for allegedly using objectionable and indecent language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
The complaint was filed by Abhishek Dubey, spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Delhi State, at the Tigri police station in South Delhi, demanding the registration of an FIR against Rahul Gandhi.
According to the complainant, Abhishek Dubey, during a public event on Wednesday, May 20 (Wednesday), Rahul Gandhi used inflammatory and indecent words like ‘Gaddar’ (traitor) to refer to the country’s Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister.
He said that such statements not only hurt the dignity of the highest constitutional posts in the country but also serve to spread animosity, anger, and discontent in the society. The use of such language from a public platform is completely against democratic norms.
The complaint demands that, given the seriousness of the matter, the Delhi Police immediately register an FIR against Rahul Gandhi under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and other relevant legal sections, and that appropriate legal action be taken.
The complainant says that it is extremely important to stop such indecent conduct in politics so that no one dares to use such language in public life in the future.
