BLA blows up secret hideout, eliminates seven alleged ‘Mukhbirs’

Islamabad, June 14: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed to have killed seven Pakistani Army informants in coordinated attacks. It is said that some of those killed are notorious killers working for the army. These killers are known throughout the province as death squads. Members of this group, on the army’s orders, capture Baloch people demanding independence for Balochistan and hand them over to the army.

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) spokesperson Zaind Baloch made this claim in a statement sent to the media on June 13. Baloch said that fighters killed six Pakistani Army informants and one armed member of the “death squad” in coordinated operations in Kharan, Kalat, Nushki, Quetta and Shahragh. He claimed that last night, the hideout of “death squad” member Hafiz Mumtaz was blown up with explosives in the Barshunki area of Kharan. The spokesperson said that fighters had captured Sameer Auld Rafiq, a resident of Kharan. He was an informant and a burglar. He was also directly involved in the murder of former BLA fighter Ali Jan alias Sudees. He said that Tahir-ul-Chaudhary Mubarak, a member of the Pakistan Army’s Military Intelligence, was arrested while roaming in disguise in the Iskalko area of Kalat. Tahir admitted to being a Pakistan Army officer.

The spokesperson said that Baloch Liberation Army commanders shot and killed Shoaib Mengal, a Pakistan Army soldier, in Nushki. Shoaib had been in BLA custody for a long time and had repeatedly tried to escape from the camp. A BLA guerrilla unit killed him while he was trying to escape on June 4th. He said that last month, militants detained Taj Mohammad, son of Sultan Mohammad Samlani, from the Shahragh area in Sukna Margat. Taj Mohammad confessed to regularly meeting Colonel Shaukat at the military camp secretly. The army paid him a small sum of twenty thousand rupees for his informants.

The Baloch National Court sentenced Taj to death for the most serious national crimes and treason, which the militants carried out. Spokesperson Zaind said that every traitor will face the same fate as Taj. Therefore, people should not fall prey to the temptation of the Pakistan Army. Joining hands with the enemy against the Baloch national movement is treason and an unforgivable crime.
