
Major crackdown in Sambhal’s ₹100 crore landgate case
Sambhal, June 30: Major action has finally been taken in the much-talked-about case involving government land belonging to a Gram Sabha worth approximately 100 crore rupees in the Sadar tehsil area of Sambhal district.
On the instructions of the District Magistrate (DM) Ankit Khandelwal, revenue accountant Sparsh Gupta has filed an FIR at the Sambhal police station against 31 named and some unidentified individuals. The case relates to alleged fake leases, mutations, and the encroachment of valuable Gram Sabha land. A case has also been registered against the then Municipal Corporation Executive Officer in the said case.
The Sambhal Superintendent of Police (SP) Krishna Kumar Bishnoi stated that in a fraudulent case involving approximately 38 bighas of government land on the Sambhal-Moradabad road in the Sambhal police station, approximately 2.367 hectares of village council land belonging to Takht Gusai village, with a current market value of approximately 100 crore rupees, was acquired in 2008 through a transfer of name based on an alleged fake lease dated 1967. The complaint states that this action was taken after several serious facts came to light during an administrative investigation.
He told that the FIR names 31 named individuals, including the then Deputy Director of Consolidation, Khem Singh Khadak, the then Municipal Executive Officer, Rajkumar Gupta, the then Municipal Cartographer, Shahabuddin, advocate Majid Khan, the alleged leaseholder, Saidul Rehman Khan, his heirs, and some unidentified individuals as accused. A case has been registered against all the people under sections 420, 467, 468, 471 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 2 and 3 of the Damage to Public Property Act. Other accused named in the FIR include Ibadur Rahman Khan, Ehsanur Rahman Khan, Shahjahan Begum, Iftara, Tariq Ali, Fariq Ali, Shakir Ali, Shariq Ali, Sajid Ali, Shariq Shabur, Mohammad Mujahid, Rafiq, Shahjahan, Akhtari, Mohammad Umar, Munazir, Mohammad Azim, Dharmendra, Madhu Khurana, Vijay Gupta, Rupali Gupta, Furqan, Imran, Azam Khan, Pradeep Kumar Agarwal, Maqsood Alam Warsi and Harjeet Singh.
