
Death threat to BJP MLA sparks tension in Gonda district
Gonda, August 8: Prem Narayan Pandey, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from the Tarabganj assembly seat in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh, has received a death threat. His son has filed a case with the police station.

Vinod Kumar Pandey, the MLA’s son, stated in his complaint that Sunil, a resident of Belsar, threatened to kill his father. He threatened to shoot his father with a thousand bullets. Vinod has saved an audio recording of the conversation on a pen drive and submitted it to the police as evidence.
In Gonda’s Tarabganj area, a victim alleged that Sunil Kumar had deployed eight to ten men to keep his father under surveillance and sought police protection for his family; meanwhile the station house officer Shridhar Pathak confirmed that an investigation is underway based on the complaint.
