Jewar Airport renamed Narendra Modi International by Yogi cabinet

Lucknow, October 9: In a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday, the Uttar Pradesh government approved the renaming of Jewar Airport, which will now be officially known as Narendra Modi International Airport.

Speaking to reporters at the media center after the cabinet meeting held at Lok Bhavan today, the Chief Minister said that the Council of Ministers heartily congratulates the service work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is leading the country as a public representative from Uttar Pradesh. The Cabinet has approved the proposal to rename Jewar Airport as Narendra Modi Airport.

The Chief Minister said that the relationship between Prime Minister Modi and Uttar Pradesh is very intimate. The intimate relationship that began with Kashi and Mother Ganga has deepened over time and today has become the basis for the state’s all-round transformation. With the shared resolve of the Centre and the State and the spirit of Team India, Uttar Pradesh is moving ahead on the path of unprecedented progress.

The Cabinet passed proposals regarding the implementation of the Model Building Regulations, 2026 for the Industrial Development Authorities of Uttar Pradesh. Apart from these, proposals were passed regarding the determination of the paddy procurement policy under the Minimum Support Price Scheme in the Kharif Marketing Year 2026-27, the Uttar Pradesh Startup Purchase Scheme-2026, the establishment of the Uttar Pradesh Artificial Intelligence Mission, the renaming of the district Bhadohi to Sant Ravidas Nagar and the implementation of the “Uttar Pradesh Interest Waiver Scheme-2026” were also passed.
