Yogi govt signs MoU with Axis Bank for employee welfare
Lucknow, October 9: The Yogi government has taken a significant initiative to strengthen the welfare of state employees and the social and economic security of their families. An MoU has been signed between the Secretariat Administration Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Axis Bank. Under this agreement, a specially designed salary account will be provided to state government employees, along with several additional protective and welfare benefits.
Personal accident insurance cover of Rs 1 crore
Under the MoU, eligible state employees will be provided with personal accident insurance cover of up to Rs 1 crore. This will provide financial security to employees and their families in case of emergency. Additionally, employees will also be provided with additional health insurance cover of up to Rs 30 lakh. The premium for this cover is nominal at just Rs 7 per day. This will provide additional financial security to employees and their families in case of serious illness or unexpected health expenses.
Under the children’s education assistance scheme of up to ₹8 lakh, additional assistance of up to ₹8 lakh has also been provided for the education of dependent children. Employees will also receive a term life insurance cover of ₹10 lakh. Under the MoU, a special salary account will be made available to employees. This account will provide various banking facilities along with additional security and welfare benefits.
