Gurugram: Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly demands ₹10 cr from influencer Elvish Yadav
Gurugram, May 10: YouTuber and social media influencer Elvish Yadav has once again received a death threat, with a ransom demand of ₹10 crore allegedly made in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang through a WhatsApp message from a foreign number, where the sender identified himself as Randeep Malik, a close associate of the gang.
After receiving a complaint on Sunday, the Sector 56 police station in Gurugram has launched an investigation. Police are trying to find out where the threatening messages were sent from. According to reports, Elvish Yadav is currently out of Gurugram for the shooting of a show. His show, “Laughter Chef,” is currently airing on the Colors channel. He is also filming for other channels. Family members said the person who threatened to shoot him if he didn’t pay the money within two days. Police are now investigating the number’s location and call details.
According to police officials, on May 5th, Elvish Yadav received a WhatsApp call from a foreign number, but he failed to answer it. Shortly afterward, a message was sent from the same number.
Regarding the matter, Elvish Yadav’s father, Ram Avtar Yadav, stated that his son had reached this position through hard work. He added that Gurugram is home to many wealthy people, and anyone can threaten someone and demand money. However, he stated that he didn’t have much information, nor did Elvish ever share any information.
Furthermore, on August 17, 2025, miscreants fired approximately 24 rounds at Elvish Yadav’s house in Sector 56. The bike-borne attackers targeted the doors, windows, and even the roof. In this case, Delhi Police arrested two shooters who were allegedly paid ₹50,000 each for the shooting.
