Nitin Nabin unveils new team: Vasundhara Raje Vice President, Smriti Irani General Secretary, Piyush Goyal Treasurer
New Delhi, August 17: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National president Nitin Nabin announced his new team on Monday. 13 people including former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, senior leader Ram Madhav have been made National Vice Presidents and eight leaders including former Union Ministers Smriti Irani, Vinod Tawde, Harish Dwivedi have been given the responsibility of National General Secretary.
According to the BJP’s release, Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Tirath Singh Rawat, Ram Madhav, Baijayant Jai Panda, D Purandeswari, Rekha Verma, Varshaben Narendrabhai Doshi, Bharti Praveen Pawar, Manpreet Singh Badal, Lal Singh Arya, M. Nagaraj, Tariq Mansoor and Madhuchandra Kar have been made National Vice Presidents. BL Santosh will be the National General Secretary (Organization). Shiv Prakash and Saudan Singh have been reassigned to the positions of National Joint General Secretary (Organization). Vinod Tawde, Sunil Bansal, Biplab Deb, Smriti Irani, Satish Poonia, Gajendra Patel, Harish Dwivedi, and Sanjay Bhatia will be the National General Secretaries. Piyush Goyal has been appointed National Treasurer. The party has appointed eight General Secretaries from seven states, with the highest number of two leaders coming from Uttar Pradesh. Four women have been appointed National Secretaries.
The responsibilities of national secretaries have been assigned to Kavita Patidar, K. Surendran, Bhola Singh, Pradeep Verma, Jagdish Ishwarbhai Patel, Sandeep Pathak, Phangnon Konyak, Sangeeta Yadav, Anil Antony, M. Venkatesan, Manoj Tigga, Siddharth Shambhu, Swadesh Singh, Mriganka Dev Burman, Rohan Gupta, and Jai Prakash. Tarun Chugh has been appointed National Office Incharge, and Mahendra Pandey has been appointed National Office Minister. Dr. Sambit Patra has been appointed Northeast Coordinator. Vishnu Dutt Sharma has been appointed as the complex convener of the cell. Rituraj Singha and Vishnu Vardhan Reddy have been appointed as co-conveners of this cell.
Hemang Joshi has been appointed as the Youth Front, Roop Kumari Chaudhary as the Women’s Front, Amarpal Maurya as the OBC Front, Bansilal Gurjar as the Farmers’ Front, Shivesh Kumar Ram as the Scheduled Caste Front, John Mannalal Rawat as the Scheduled Tribe Front, and Kunwar Basit Ali as the Minority Front. Anil Baluni has been reappointed as the Media Convener. Ashish Usha Agarwal, Pradeep Bhandari, and Siddharth Yadav have been appointed as co-conveners. Deepak Mhaske has been appointed as the Social Media Convener. Preeti Gandhi, Shivanand Dwivedi, Alok Bhatt, and Arun Yadav have been appointed as co-conveners.
