Amid chanting of Vedic mantras at the Gorakhnath Temple’s Anna Kshetra, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed the sacred Kanya Pujan on Mahanavami, reverently washing the feet of nine young girls with water from a brass plate, applying tilak of roli, sandalwood paste, curd, and rice grains, adorning them with flowers, barley sprouts, garlands, and scarves, and offering gifts and dakshina before serving them freshly cooked food with his own hands; extending the ritual.
Yogi also worshipped ‘Batuk Bhairav’ and performed aarti for the large gathering of girls and boys, ensuring every plate was filled with prasad and personally guiding temple management to maintain the sanctity and completeness of the arrangements.
