Senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh of the Lucknow Meteorological Department stated on Wednesday that temperatures will remain above normal even at night for the next few days, providing no relief from the heat and humidity. A red alert has been issued for the entire state (warm night) in case temperatures do not drop even at night. During this period, temperatures will remain three to six degrees above normal. In addition to Lucknow, severe heat wave conditions are also predicted in Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Kushinagar, Mau, Jaunpur, and Ghazipur. An orange alert has been issued for these districts. However, due to moist winds coming from the Bay of Bengal, light drizzle accompanied by thunderstorms may occur in some parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh. However, no significant drop in temperatures is expected. The administration and health department have also issued advisories regarding the severe weather conditions.
Key weather warnings and precautions
The health department is also on alert due to the intense weather. City health officer Dr K.K.
