
Four arrested in property dealer murder case in Prayagraj
Prayagraj, May 18: The Prayagraj commissionerate police arrested four people, including two named accused, in connection with the murder of a property dealer that occurred Sunday evening in the Mahewa Purva Patti locality of the Naini police station area of the Sangam city, apprised the Yamunanagar Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Chandra Yadav on Monday.
The DCP stated that Arvind Bharti, Brijesh Nishad, Bhupendra, and Prince have been arrested. The accused are being interrogated. The car used in the murder has also been recovered.
According to the police, the murder was the result of a year-long dispute over land and money. The deceased worked in a land business in partnership with the arrested accused, Arvind Bharti and Brijesh Nishad. Brijesh Nishad is a lawyer in the Allahabad High Court. Legal action is being taken to send the accused to jail.
It is noteworthy that property dealer Azharuddin (35), son of Badruddin alias Budhu, a resident of Mahewa Purva Patti in the Naini Kotwali police station area, was shot dead with a pistol inside his property office on Sunday evening.
Based on a family complaint, a murder case was filed against four individuals, including property dealer Arvind Bharti and advocate Brijesh Nishad.
Providing details about the incident, the deceased’s elder brother, Alauddin, stated that the accused, Arvind Bharti, and Brijesh Nishad, a High Court lawyer, worked in a partnership with land dealing. Azharuddin was at home on Sunday evening. His partner, Arvind, called him to his office near the Lagan Bihar Guest House in Madoka regarding a financial transaction. Azharuddin left home on his bike around 3:30 pm. An hour later, he was informed of his murder. Neighbors reported that Arvind Bharti and Brijesh Nishad had already arrived at the office in a WagonR car. A short while later, Azharuddin arrived on a bike. Just 10 minutes later, Azharuddin was shot in the right temple. After the murder, all the accused fled in a car. Based on the car number and CCTV footage from the shop and nearby, the police found strong evidence that the accused had committed the crime.
