Isha Koppikar calls herself ‘Andhabhakt’, Kangana Ranaut backs her stand on social media
Actress Isha Koppikar shared a video on social media, calling herself a proud ‘Andhabhakt’. However, she clarified that her devotion is not towards any political party or leader, but towards the country and its progress. Isha’s statement also received support from actress and MP Kangana Ranaut. Kangana shared Isha’s post, saying that she too identifies with this kind of patriotism.
In her video, Isha tried to explain the difference between love for the country and political support. She said that loving the country does not mean that citizens cannot question their leaders. According to her, it is every citizen’s responsibility to contribute to the country’s progress, and raising questions on important issues is also part of this responsibility. She appealed to people to put the country above politics and politicians and to play their part in advancing the country.
Kangana Ranaut, echoing Isha’s views, shared her experiences with social and public activism. She mentioned raising her voice on various social issues, including the protests that followed the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Kangana said she was proud to be a “devotee” of her country and its people. Both actresses’ statements prioritized devotion to the country and its citizens rather than linking patriotism to any political party or leader.
