🚨 Lucknow, June 29: Two separate fire incidents rocked the Lucknow on Monday, with a shoe shop in Vikas Nagar and the fifth floor of an apartment in Chinhat engulfed in flames; swift action by the fire brigade, aided by the SDRF, brought both blazes under control, while police have launched an investigation into the causes.

The Vikas Nagar police station stated that the shoe shop, owned by Mohammad Sameer and Mohammad Haseen, is located on the first floor of a market located in front of Mahavir Inter College on Kursi Road. Residential houses are also located behind the shops. The shop caught fire on Monday morning. Upon receiving information, fire brigade vehicles arrived at the scene and began extinguishing the fire. Police also evacuated nearby houses for safety. Firefighters completely extinguished the fire. There were no casualties. The situation is completely normal and under control. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Similarly, information was received about a fire on the fifth floor of a stay-home apartment located near Rama Degree College, Nandi Vihar Colony, in the Chinhat police station area. Chinhat police immediately arrived at the scene, informed the fire service, and initiated rescue and relief operations. Police ensured security at the scene and safely evacuated those inside. Firefighters then began extinguishing the fire using hoses. The fire was found confined to a single room on the fifth floor. After approximately 30 minutes of tireless efforts, the fire was completely brought under control.

According to the police, the owner of the affected building is Tauqeer Siddiqui, who uses the building as a stay-home and office. Three guests staying on that floor at the time of the incident were found safe and unharmed. The fire damaged the bed, air conditioner, door, and walls of the room. Prima facie, the cause of the fire appears to be an electrical short circuit in the air conditioner, which is being investigated. There are no reports of any casualties or injuries. Further action is being taken by the Chinhat police station and the fire service team.
