IAS officers bury IPS officers in files beyond reach of ‘Yamraj’, quips CM Yogi
Lucknow, June 17: Chief Minister said that the IAS officers used to bury the IPS officers in files so much that they would not be able to open them. Even Yamraj would be difficult to get the IAS officers to open a file. We have implemented the Police Commissionerate system in seven districts. This is part of police reform. Those who are unaware of police reform criticize the Commissionerate system. Those who lack knowledge of policing criticize it. These are the people who are not concerned about the convenience and safety of the common citizen.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to computer operators of the UP Police on Wednesday. Addressing the event held at Lok Bhavan, he said that a transparent recruitment process that gives new wings to the dreams of the youth, opportunities to their abilities, and respect to hard work is the hallmark of the double-engine government.
The Chief Minister said that appointment letters were given to 930 computer operators (Grade A) selected through a fair selection process by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board. Empowered with technology and skills, these young people will make a significant contribution to making the Uttar Pradesh Police more modern, effective, and people-oriented.
Advising UP police personnel, Chief Minister Yogi said, “We often see people making reels while on duty. This is indiscipline. At that time, we must be vigilant about our duties. If everyone is on duty, they will perform their duties, and the results will come automatically. To achieve those results, we must all move forward with a team spirit.”
Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna, Additional Chief Secretary for Home and Information Sanjay Prasad, Director General of Police Rajiv Krishna, and other officials were present on the occasion.
