Proposal for rapid rail from Lucknow to Kanpur via Unnao: Chief Minister Yogi
Unnao, June 18: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Thursday that the work done by the double engine government in the country in the last 12 years and in Uttar Pradesh in the last 9 years, could not be done by the Congress and SP governments, because these corrupt and incapable people did not think about the poor, but only about their own families. Congress never thought beyond the Nehru-Gandhi family and for SP, Saifai was the only family. Whereas Prime Minister Modi considers India as home and 1.4 billion people as family. For me, Uttar Pradesh is home, and 250 million people are family members. Working for their prosperity is our mission.
Chief Minister Yogi was addressing the gathering after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for 101 development projects worth over ₹570 crore. He visited exhibitions and performed the Annaprashan ceremony for children at the events held in Gram Panchayat Deeh, Bhawani Kheda Chauraha, and Hindu Kheda, Unnao. The CM informed locals that the capacity of the police training school, built in memory of the brave martyr Gulab Singh Lodhi, has also been doubled. The
SP’s pro-government mafia was like Khar-Dushan
. The CM said that during the SP government, whenever the poor or other political parties raised their voices, their goons and mafia would not only suppress them but also kidnap businessmen and create chaos in the state. During the Ramayana period, the terror of Khar-Dushana, Marich, and Subahu must have been similar to that of the ruling mafia during the SP government. Congress and SP leaders must never have been seen shedding tears for the poor. Their tears flow when the mafia dies.
Unnao is a land of spirituality, literature, and revolution
The Chief Minister described Unnao as a land of spirituality, literature, and revolution. The Chief Minister paid tribute to local spiritual sites, writers, and revolutionaries. He also remembered the works of former Assembly Speaker Hriday Narayan Dixit. He said that at a time when India’s identity was in danger, Raja Ram Baksh Singh and Veer Gulab Singh Lodhi uprooted the British rule with their sacrifices to break the shackles of slavery. He said that
Unnao will never be allowed to lag behind
The Chief Minister said, “Swami Sakshi Maharaj Ji used to say that Unnao feels neglected between Lucknow and Kanpur. Then I said that every development plan would also reach Unnao. Today, Unnao has four-lane connectivity from all sides. Through the Ganga Expressway, Unnao residents can bypass Lucknow and go directly to Delhi and Prayagraj. A Greenfield Expressway is also being built for Kanpur. The demand for an additional bridge over the Ganga River to enhance connectivity between Unnao and Kanpur has also been met. We will not let Unnao lag behind.” Land has been acquired for the development of an industrial cluster along the Defense Manufacturing Corridor and the Ganga Expressway. Approximately 700 acres of land is available for the Defense Corridor and approximately 200 acres of land for the industrial cluster in Unnao district. The establishment of these industries will provide employment to local youth.
Chief Minister stated that the Prime Minister focuses on four categories: the poor, farmers, women, and youth.
Chief Minister emphasized that the Prime Minister focuses on four categories: the poor, farmers, women, and youth. He emphasized that the schemes are being developed with these categories in mind. Under Mission Shakti, programs are being implemented to protect, respect, and enhance women’s self-reliance. The poor no longer beg for the Prime Minister-Chief Minister Housing Scheme; instead, officials visit their homes to inform them that they have been selected. Previously, even bribes were not enough to secure benefits. Today, benefits like cooking gas, rations, pensions, and Ayushman Yojana are available without any recommendation.
Uttar Pradesh is blessed by Lord Rama
Yogi Adityanath stated that Uttar Pradesh is blessed by Lord Rama, Banke Bihari, Baba Vishwanath, and Mother Ganga. There is no shortage of money here. No one creates trouble anymore. Every festival now brings prosperity, even for the poor. The poor celebrate these festivals with their families, wearing good clothes.
Chief Minister stated that Unnao has also become a part of the State Capital Region (SCR). The immortal hero, Veer Gulab Singh Lodhi, once traveled from Unnao to Hazratganj, Lucknow, to liberate the country. Now, development will extend from Lucknow to Kanpur via Unnao. The country’s first rapid rail has reached Meerut from Delhi. Similarly, a proposal is being prepared for a rapid rail service from Lucknow to Kanpur via Unnao. A ring road will be built all around. The districts of Lucknow, Hardoi, Unnao, Sitapur, Barabanki, and Rae Bareli will be connected, and everyone will have equal participation in development. We have energetic youth, hardworking farmers, the strength of half the population, and the blessings of Mother Ganga. Now, this district will also present itself as a developed Unnao. Industrial clusters are being developed in various districts. Preparations are underway to develop world-class infrastructure. The government is working on a 100-year action plan.
